Before You Know It!
Are you ready for Winter? We have already seen snow. It's time to think about Winter Coats.
Down and Wool are warm, Real Fur (free choice) is warm. Faux fur is not warm.
So what will you choose?

The Ghosts Are All Put Away
The holiday season has officially started! Thanksgiving, Cocktail Parties, Holiday Parties!
What are you going to wear and how much is it going to cost you? If only you could just throw on a sheet like a ghost.
No worries.
Pull out your favorite dress.
Then accessorize! Find great statement necklaces, earring, bags.
As long as you look and feel great, it wont matter if you re-wear.

A Good Denim Is Hard To Find
When you find a pair of jeans that you love...buy two pairs because you know you will want to wear them all the time.
Treat them with love. Wash them inside out and air dry your denim.

You will probably want to throw them in the dryer every three washes or so, so that they do not get baggy.

The Ripple Effect
How old are your bras?
Did you know that it is recommended that you replace your bras every six months?
Don't panic.
Depending on how many bras you own and how often you wear them, your time table may vary.
But, if you cant remember the last time you bought a bra...it is time to go shopping!
Here are some tips:
*A well fitted bra will cause back ripples. Try going up a size (when you do that you may need to go down a cup size)
*Look for a bra with a wide back strap, more comfort and less ripple.
*When shopping wear or bring a form fitting tshirt. It is the best was to see if you like the shape your bra is creating.

Dry Rub
Do you know the proper way to exfoliate your body? Thai at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa in Bethesda Maryland taught me.
Begin with a gentle exfoliater (they have a great product SPA7/52) and rub a small amount on your dry skin. Then rinse. Then moisturize. So simple, so effective.

Get To The Root Of The Problem
Fresh hair cuts and color are essential to looking good. Roots, whether they are dark or even gray are bad.
So, between trips to the salon try NICE AND EASY ROOT TOUCH- UP by Clairol. And if you are blond, in a pinch baby power works too.

Reuse Your Tissue
Tissue paper that is! for Wrinkle Free Packing!
Most stores wrap your clothing purchases in tissue paper. Instead of throwing it in your recycling bin, smooth it out, fold it and store it in your suitcase. *You must only use color free tissue paper!!!
Here's the trick :
Lay your shirt out flat, place tissue paper on top, and then fold as usual. Then wrap another piece around it.
When you reach your destination you will be amazed at how great your clothes look.
Also bunch up the tissue and put it in your purses and shoes so that they keep their shape.

Dress your Age not you Dress Size
Remember the saying, "act your age not your shoe size"?
Well, I am saying, "dress your AGE not your dress Size"
Just because you are a higher size does not mean that you should dress like an old fromp, and if you are a smaller size you should dress like a teenager! Just because it fits does not mean it fits YOU.

You're Out
It would disqualify you from Project Runway, but highly recommended at home.
Tape/glue
When your gown is exposing a little bit too much of you, or your top keeps moving and reveiling your bra strap- try tape!

Removimg Wrinkles
Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my Jiffy Steamer. Steamers are a must have! They not only remove wrinkles, they freshen your clothes. If you live in an apartment you may not be able to fit a full size steamer in your home, so I suggest a travel size steamer. ESTEAMER by Jiffy is a great choice. I use one for all my travel, and they also have 120, 230 volts available. Now if only they made one for faces!

SEPTEMBER STYLE ADVICE-A MONTH OF INSIDER TIPS TO MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER-FASHION 101
TIP OF THE DAY:
If you did the unspeakable and hung your sweaters on hangers creating what one of my clients calls "shoulder nipples," run, do not walk to your favorite drycleaner. Admit your sin and sigh with relief because they can usually fix it. And then you must vow to only fold your sweaters from now on.
If your drycleaner ever hangs your sweaters, immediately remove the hangers (and always the plastic). Then next time request to have them folded for all future cleanings.

My list
As it turms out one of my favorite things is on the HOT list for this Fall/Winter.
Leather. (As if leather ever isn't in)
I love soft buttery leather! So I decided to add leather to my shopping list.
The thing is, I didnt want to blow my whole budget on leather pieces. So I decided to start looking in consignment shops.
It is a bit early for the shops to have leather out, in fact I had to ask to see the pieces.
This beautiful Narciso Rodriquez leather jacket was my big find! $49.95!
I found it at Chic to Chic consignment boutique.

Evolving
When I was a child I loved going back to school. New clothes, new lunchbox and notebooks, and now as a parent it means that my children get new clothes, new lunch boxes and notebooks, and as an added bonus the kids actually go back to school!
For me September is the beginning. I love fall and winter clothes, especially coats and boots. Every fall
( I usually can’t until September, so start in August) I go through my clothes from last year. I take inventory and decide what I will add for the season.
But this year I have been thinking. Do I want to dress the exact same way as last year? Haven’t I changed? I like my style but shouldn’t it evolve? Sure I keep up with the trends, pick and choose which will work for me. But I am older and wiser so don’t I want my clothes to reflect those changes?
Yes!
So with great thought I will edit my wardrobe. I will decide in what direction I want my style to go. And I will purchase accordingly.
Is this part of my life’s big plan, No!
But it gives me pleasure.
And just as you wouldn’t keep the same hairstyle year after year (you wouldn’t, would you?) you shouldn’t keep the exact same wardrobe style. Move it in a new direction, nothing drastic, just follow yourself.

SPRING MUSTS
Are you ready to say goodbye to all your winter clothes and shoes?
Its time to pack away the wool, furs, winter coats and boots.
1. Dry clean your wools, remove from plastic dry cleaning bags, store in hard plastic bins or fabric bins with cedar blocks or sachets. (Containerstore.com)
